Police Activity weeks of 08/01/2016 – 08/31/2016

08/03/2016 – Commercial Burglary – Sgt. McCaughan

Police responded to the unit Bock of E. Baltimore for a reported act of criminal mischief, a window of a storefront being broken. Police found the business had been burglarized. Several cell phone and similar items were taken from the store.


08/09/2016 – Theft from Vehicle – Ofc. Berry

Victim reported finding someone entered her vehicle overnight in the 300 block of E. Broadway Ave. and took a GPS unit. Vehicle was unsecured at the time.


08/11/2016 – Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding

Police stopped a w/m resident of Upper Darby for public drunkenness. Upon arrest police located suspect marijuana and prescription meds on his person, for which he was not prescribed.


08/12/2016 – Commercial Burglary – Ofc. Berry

Police responded to the 300 block of W. Baltimore for a reported burglary. Police found the window of the business broken and entry was made. Several cell phones and similar items were taken as well as cash.


08/15/2016 – DUI Hit and Run – Ofc. Caputo

Police arrested a w/m resident of Wallingford for DUI and Hit and Run after he struck a parked vehicle in the unit bloc of E. Broadway Ave. the male fled the scene being chased by the owner of the struck vehicle. Same was taken into custody a short distance later.


08/20/2016 – Recovered Stolen Vehicle RSP – Ofc. Berry

Police arrested two b/m from Philadelphia after finding them in a vehicle asleep on private property. Police discovered that the vehicle they were operating was reported stolen out of Philadelphia on 08/18.


08/20/2016 – Warrant Arrest – Ofc. Wooding

Police detained a w/m resident of Upper Darby for public drunkenness. While in custody it was found that the male was wanted by Delaware County. Same was charged with P/D then transported to the prison for the warrant.


08/27/2016 – Lawn Equip Thefts – Ofc. Caputo

Three sheds were broken into over the course of several days and lawn cutting equipment such as blowers, weed whackers, and chain saws were removed.


08/29/2016 – Warrant – Ofc. Wooding

Police arrested a w resident of Westbrook Park after it was learned he was at a local bar and had warrants on him. Police went to the bar, and took the male into custody without incident.
