01/08/2014 – Retail Theft / Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding
Police responded to the K Mart store for a reported shoplifter in custody. Loss Prevention reported that a white male resident of Clifton Heights had been observed concealing merchandise and was detained. Upon searching the actor incident to arrest, police located six baggies of suspected marijuana.
01/13/2014 – Theft / Fraud – Ofc. Wooding
Police took a report of a theft from vehicle where the victim stated that credit cards and other items were removed overnight from his vehicle in the 500 block of Davis Ave. In a follow up investigation Sgt. Brown did go to a business in Sharon Hill were a stolen credit card was used. Upon speaking to the owner about the fraud, Sgt. Brown was directed to a patron in the store getting her nails done who was involved.
A white female resident of Sharon Hill was taken into custody at this location and her boyfriend; a white male resident of Clifton Heights was arrested shortly thereafter. Both are seen in several store surveillance systems using the stolen credit cards.
01/12/2014 – Theft – Ofc. Scott
An owner of a local pre-school reported several electronics missing from their community center over the weekend. The building is rented to several groups for activities. A list of these groups was forwarded to the police and the items missing which included a TV, DVD player and other electronics.
01/16/2014 – Disorderly Conduct – Sgt. Martin
Police arrested a white male resident of Clifton Heights for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after responding to a 911 call of an argument outside a local restaurant on E. Broadway Ave. The male was verbally harassing the owner of the establishment after being flagged for his behavior in the restaurant. Upon police arrival the male refused to cooperate or calm down causing public alarm.
01/28/2014 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Wooding
A white female resident of Drexel Hill was arrested for public drunkenness after being observed staggering in traffic in the 200 block of E. Baltimore Ave. She was later transported to the hospital as a precaution.
01/28/2014 – DUI – Ofc. Wooding
A white male resident of Aldan was arrested for DUI and related offenses after an accident investigation in the 200 block of E. Broadway Ave. The defendant admitted to consuming alcohol prior to operating the vehicle.
01/28/2014 – Theft – Ofc. Clancy
A resident of the unit block of N. Sycamore Ave. reported a theft of a cell phone from the front of the residence. The victim stated that the package was delivered by UPS and when he went to find it, the package was missing.
