Police Activity weeks of 11/01/2014 through 11/30/2014

11/07/2014 – Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding

While on routine patrol officers noticed a male passed out at the Baltimore Ave. Trolley stop. Upon further investigation police arrested a w/m from Bristol who was under the influence of heroin and in possession of narcotics.


11/08/2014 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Wooding

Ofc. Wooding observed a w/m resident of Lansdowne staggering into traffic in the 500 block of Baltimore Ave. Upon further investigation the male was found to be under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested.


11/09/2014 – DUI – Sgt. Morgan

Police investigating a hit and run accident on Glenwood Ave. followed a trail of fluids to the 300 block of Diamond St. and located the striking vehicle. During this investigation police identified the operator, a w/m resident of Clifton Heights. He was subsequently arrested for the accident and DUI after being found in an intoxicated state, which rendered him unsafe to operate a motor vehicle at the time of the accident.


11/10/2014 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Wooding

While on routine patrol police observed a w/m resident of Westbrook Park staggering in traffic. The male was arrested, charged and housed until sober.


11/10/2014 – Narcotics – Ofc. Berry

Police arrested a w/m resident of Clifton Heights for narcotics possession. While investigating another call, the male was observed trespassing on SEPTA property and detained. He was found in possession of suspected heroin and needles.


11/11/2014 – Retail Theft – Ofc. M Hahn

Police arrested a w/f resident of Drexel Hill for shoplifting after Kmart Loss Prevention observed her conceal over $100.00 in store merchandise.


11/13/2014 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Caputo

Police arrested a w/m resident of Norwood for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he caused public alarm on Penn St.


11/14/2014 – Narcotics / Firearms – Sgt. Martin

Police arrested two b/m’s from Philadelphia and Clifton Heights and two juveniles for narcotics possession and possession of a stolen firearm after responding to a report of the four males smoking marijuana in front of a residence. The gun was traced to a recent burglary in Aldan Borough.


11/15/2014 – Narcotics – Ofc. Berry

Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Baltimore Ave occupied with its lights on next to a convenience store. A male was observed approaching the vehicle then leaving. He was stopped and found in possession of suspected marijuana. The vehicle was also stopped and the operator was found in possession of marijuana.


11/16/2014 – Narcotics – Sgt. McCaughan

Police arrested a w/m resident of Springfield for possession and related charges after receiving a call about him shooting drugs in the rear alley of a residence. A description of the vehicle was broadcasted and the vehicle was located a shot distance later. The operator was found in possession of narcotics and needles.


11/24/2014 – Assault – Ofc. Berry

Police arrested a w/m resident of Clifton Heights after he threatened his girlfriend with a knife. When she refused to let him in the apartment, he punched through a window with a knife in his hand and threatened her.


11/26/2014 – Assault – Sgt. Morgan

Police arrested a w/f resident of Clifton Heights for assault on officers and related charges after placing for in custody on a 302 warrant. The female became combative and kicked and punched the officers as they were placing her in custody.
