Police Activity weeks of 09/30/2014 through 10/30/201410/02/2014 – Retail Theft – Sgt. MorganPolice arrested a white female resident of Primos after Kmart Loss Prevention reported observing her conceal almost $300.00 worth of merchandise in a bag and leave the store without paying for it. 10/03/2014 – Narcotics – Ofc. BerryWhile on patrol officers observed a white male resident of Clifton Heights discard known narcotics packaging material on the street. When located, it was identified as heroin packaging. The male was stopped and arrested and upon his search, the male was in possession of a hypodermic needle used for injecting heroin. 10/06/2014 – Theft – Ofc. ScottThe victim, a local concrete contractor reported scrappers stole scrap metal and forms from his property. Video attained showed the vehicle involved to be similar to an Altima with two white males involved. This case is currently open. 10/11/2014 – Retail Theft – Sgt. ChappelleA black male resident was observing by Kmart Loss Prevention concealing merchandise and fleeing the store without paying for it. He was located in the 500 block of Washington Ave and arrested. 10/12/2014 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. WoodingA black male resident of Aldan was arrested for Public drunkenness and housed until sober. Police observed his staggering into traffic and was a danger to him and others. 10/18/2014 – DUI – Sgt. MartinA black male resident of Yeadon was arrested after an accident investigation concluded that he was under the influence of alcohol. When police were interviewing him, they observed signs of intoxication. 10/19/2014 – Narcotics – Ofc. BerryPolice arrested a white male resident of Drexel Hill after he was found in possession of marijuana, a scale, and money. Police were responding to a report of dealing in the area of Oak Ave. 10/28/2014 – Assault – Sgt. McCaughanPolice arrested a white male resident of Clifton Heights after responding to a reported domestic. The defendant was found in an agitated and intoxicated state. The female and male victims described an assault and had injuries consistent to their account. 10/30/2014 – DUI / Narcotics – Sgt. ChappellePolice arrested a white male resident of Collingdale after finding him asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle, blocking traffic. The male showed signs of intoxication. A significant amount of pills and money was found incident to arrest consistent with trafficking. |
