09/10/2013 – Armed Robbery – Sgt. Brown
Police responded to the 100 block of W. Baltimore Ave for a reported armed robbery of a delivery service. The victim who was delivering goods to a local store recounted two black males approached him in the parking lot, threatened him with a firearm and took the evenings receipts, tobacco products and the victim’s cell phone. Local police and the FBI are following up with the investigation.
09/11/2013 – Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding
A white female resident of Clifton Heights was arrested for possession and related offenses after police located her trying to craw into a window of an apartment on E. Baltimore Ave. It was later revealed that the female lived at the location but during the investigation police located suspected heroin and a loaded needle on the defendant. She was also described as being highly intoxicated at the time of the call.
09/14/2013 – DUI – Ofc. Wooding
Police arrested a white male resident of Havertown for DUI and related offenses after he nearing struck the officers who were out on an unrelated call for service. The defendant proceeded past the officers and also nearly struck another vehicle in his lane of traffic.
09/14/2013 – Domestic Assault – Sgt. Rich
Police arrested a white male resident of Clifton Heights after responding to a report of a domestic assault in a residence in the 200 block of E. Broadway Ave. The defendant’s wife stated that after a verbal argument the defendant assaulted her, showing the officers red marks and a bleeding mouth that she attributed to the defendants assault upon her. The defendant was charged with assault and related offenses.
09/15/2013 – DUI – Ofc. Wooding
Police arrested a white male resident of Clifton Heights for DUI and related offenses after police detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and learning that the registration was suspended due to insurance cancellation. When police made contact with the operator he displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested.
09/18/2013 – Assault – Ofc. Berry
Police attained an arrest warrant for a white male resident of Philadelphia after police responded to the unit block of W. Baltimore Ave. for a domestic assault. The female at the residence described to the male assaulted her during an argument and displayed injuries consistent with her account.
09/21/2013 – Loitering and Prowling/Theft – Ofc Berry
Police arrested a black male resident from Darby Borough after he continually stalked and harassed his ex-girlfriend. During this incident the defendant was observed peering into the victim’s windows and taking items stored on the victim’s porch. The defendant fled prior to police arrival but was later located near his residence in Darby.
09/22/2013 – Narcotics – Sgt. Martin
While investigating a reported fight in the unit block of Walnut St. Police arrested two black female residents of Clifton Heights for causing the disturbance. They both were found to be highly intoxicated, causing public alarm for no valid reason. While in custody police located several narcotic pills on both females that require prescription to possess. Neither could provide the required documentation.
09/23/2013 – Theft – Sgt. Morgan
Police arrested two black females from Philadelphia after they were observed taking merchandise from K Mart without paying for the items. They originally attempted to return the items for cash, and when refused they left the store with the items.
09/25/2013 – DUI – Sgt. Chappelle
While investigation a motor vehicle accident police interviewed a white female operator of a vehicle involved in the crash. When doing so officers detected an odor of alcohol on the person’s breath and observed signs of intoxication. The female was arrested for DUI and related charges.
09/27/2013 – Warrant Arrest – Sgt. Martin
While investigating a report of a suspicious person in the area of S. Penn St. police interviewed a white male from Drexel Hill. During the interview police were alerted that the male was wanted out of Philadelphia for a drug case. He was arrested and turned over to Philadelphia PD.
09/27/2013 – Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding
Police were called to Marple and Union Aves. for a reported hand to hand drug exchange in the area. A short time later police stopped a black male from Philadelphia who fit the description of one of the males involved. When asked if he was in possession of anything illegal the male answered yes and advised police he had illegal narcotics in his possession. He was arrested and charges with possession and related offenses.
09/29/2013 – Burglary – Sgt. Chappelle
Police responded to the Clifton Inn on E. Baltimore Ave. for a reported burglar alarm. Upon police arrival they found the door to the business was forced open. It was later learned from the manager that cash was removed from the register area.
