07/22/2013 – Assault – Sgt. Morgan
Assault and related charges were filed against a white male from Clifton Heights as a result of a domestic dispute in the 400 block of E. Broadway Ave. The male’s estranged wife reported he threw her to the ground and physically assaulted her. The male was also charged with additional charges for violating an active protection from abuse order.
07/22/2013 – Bicycle Theft – Ofc. Furman
A resident of Cambridge Rd. reported his nephew’s black Mongoose bike was stolen from the front yard. The victim reported the bike had two flat tires.
07/22/2013 – Warrant arrest – Ofc. McCaughan
While in the process of serving court papers, a white male from the 200 block of W. Wyncliffe Ave was taken into custody for outstanding warrants. The male was eventually turned over to Constables.
07/26/2013 – Burglary – Ofc. Gallo
A resident in the 200 block of W. Wyncliffe Ave. reported a residential burglary. The victim reported that when returning from work he noticed a X-Box 360, controllers and games missing. There was no sign of forced entry.
07/27/2013 – DUI – Ofc. Gallo
DUI and related charges were filed against a white male from Drexel Hill after police observed the vehicle he was driving on Baltimore Ave. driving at a high rate of speed and swerving over the double yellow lines. Upon stopping the vehicle police noticed symptoms of intoxication. The operator also stated to police that he was “pretty drunk”.
07/27/2013 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Gallo
Police were dispatched for a man down in the 200 block of E. Baltimore Ave. Officers found a black male resident of Philadelphia at the location, extremely intoxicated and requiring medical attention for his condition. He was transported to the hospital as a result. The male was charged with public drunkenness.
07/30/2013 – Retail Theft – Sgt. Chappelle
A black male resident of Lansdowne was arrested for Retail Theft and related charges after Kmart Loss Prevention observed him conceal batteries and phones in a bag and leave the store. When confronted in the parking lot the male dropped the items and fled. He was identified later due to the several other occasions he was arrested for the same offense at the same store. A warrant was issued and the male was later apprehended.
08/01/2013 – Armed Robbery – Ofc. McCaughan
Police responded to the Rite Aid Pharmacy on E. Baltimore Ave. for a reported Robbery with a knife. The store clerk reported a white male entered the store and asked for a price check on an item. When the clerk opened the register the male produced a knife, threatening the clerk and ran off with the cash till.
08/01/2013 – Warrant Arrest – Ofc, McCaughan
While investigating the above-mentioned robbery police located a juvenile from Clifton Heights known to be wanted by the juvenile courts. He was arrested and turned over to the juvenile detention center.
08/03/2013 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Wooding
While on patrol officers noticed a black female resident of Clifton Heights staggering on E. Baltimore Ave. The female was stopped to inquire about her condition and found to be impaired. She was arrested for public drunkenness.
08/03/2013 – Retail Theft – Ofc. Caputo
A black female resident of Newark, DE was arrested and charged with retail theft after Kmart loss prevention observed her conceal over $200.00 in merchandise in a bag and attempt to leave the store.
08/11/2013 – Assault – Ofc. McCaughan
A white male resident of Clifton Heights was arrested for assault and related charges after it was reported by his girl friend that he assaulted her. Police observed injuries consistent with her statement. The male was arrested a short distance from the residence after he fled the scene.
08/15/2013 – Assault – Ofc. Berry
Assault and related charges were filed against a black male resident of Clifton Heights after it was reported by a family member that he threatened her with a knife. The male fled the resident prior to police arrival but was later taken into custody.
08/17/2013 – Theft – Sgt. Chappelle
A resident of the unit block of Chester Ave. reported their son’s 20” NEXT bicycle was stolen overnight when left in their front yard. The bike was black with Monster Energy drink logos on the frame.
