Police Activity week of 11/26/2012 through 12/16/2012
11/26/2012 – Warrant Arrest – Sgt. Martin
After responding to a domestic between a mother and son it was learned by officers that the male did have warrants for his arrest. As a result the male was arrested and removed from the residence.
11/27/2012 – Theft from vehicle – Ofc. Gallo
A resident of Clifton Heights reported a theft from his vehicle in the 200 block of Davis Ave. He stated that an IBM Think was removed from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to have been left unsecured.
11/28/2012 – Theft of mini bikes – Ofc. Morgan
Two resident in the first ward reported that overnight someone entered their property and took mini-dirt bikes stored on the properties. One was reported to be black and red with a broken pull start and the other 50cc BAJA dirt bike red and black in color.
11/29/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Clancy
A clerk at the 7-11 reported that two white males entered the store last evening. One of the males distracted the clerk while the second took a large number of Pa. Instant Lottery tickets.
11/29/2012 – Retail Theft – Ofc. Morgan
Kmart Loss Prevention reported observing a black female resident of Clifton Heights walking throughout the store. She was observed selecting items and then concealing them on her person. After leaving the store she was apprehended by Loss Prevention staff and turned over to CHPD officers for arrest.
12/06/2012 – Retail Theft – Ofc. Cook
A black male resident of Darby was observed by Kmart Loss Prevention concealing store merchandise on his person. The male was observed leaving the store without paying for the items and was apprehended by Loss Prevention. He was turned over to CHPD officers and charged with retail theft.
12/09/2012 – Retail Theft – Sgt. Chappelle
A black female resident of Clifton Heights was observed by Kmart Loss Prevention concealing store merchandise on her person. The female was observed leaving the store without paying for the items and was apprehended by Loss Prevention. She was turned over to CHPD officers and charged with retail theft.
12/13/2012 – Assault – Ofc. Cook
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Willowbrook Rd. for a reported assault. The victim stated that she was assaulted by a former friend over missing property that the victim did not have. The victim did have injuries consistent with her account.
12/15/2012 – DUI – Ofc. Hahn
As a result of an accident investigation a white male from Springfield Twp. was arrested for DUI and related charges. He was involved in an accident in the 500 block of W. Baltimore Ave. When police arrived he displayed oblivious signs of intoxication but refused to submit to chemical testing.
12/16/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Mccaughan
Police responded to Keenan Auto body on E. Baltimore Ave. for a reported theft that just occurred. The employee described a black male entering the storage yard and taking items from vehicles.
The described male was located a short distance away and identified by the witness. The black male resident of Chester was found in possession of GPS units and a Radar Detector that were later identified as belonging to owners of the vehicles stored in the lot.
