Police Activity week of 10/15/2012 through 11/04/201210/16/2012 – Retail Theft – Sgt. MartinKmart Loss Prevention apprehended a black female resident of Philadelphia after she was observed taking store merchandise without paying for it. She was turned over to responding officers and charged with retail theft. 10/18/2012 – Burglary – Ofc. MorganPolice responded to the 200 block of W. Washington Ave. for a reported burglary. The victim reported someone entered his garage and too several hundred dollars of tools. 10/20/2012 – DUI – Ofc. GalloA white female resident of Clifton Heights was arrested for DUI and related charges after police were responding to her residence for a domestic argument between her and her mother. As police were entering the complex the female almost struck their vehicle with the vehicle she was operating. 10/20/2012 – UAD/Furnishing Alcohol to Minors – Sgt. MartinA white male resident of Clifton Heights was charged with alcohol related offenses after police located an underage drinking party at his residence. Several minors were also charged with UAD after police arrived. 10/21/2012 – Assault – Sgt MartinPolice arrested a white male from Swarthmore for assault and related charges stemming from a domestic argument that turned physical. A third party attempted to intervene and was also assaulted by the male. 10/23/2012 – Burglary – Ofc MorganPolice arrested a white male resident of Clifton Heights for burglary and related charges after he attempted to break into a residence on S. Penn St. Alert neighbors chased the male and held him until police arrived. He was charged with this burglary and several others since August when the elderly female resident became a target. 10/23/2012 – Aggravated Assault – Ofc. MorganA black male resident of Clifton Heights was arrested in connection with the previous burglary report for threatening a witness with a gun. The victim stated that after apprehending the burglary suspect the male threatened him with a gun to release the male. The gunman fled upon hearing police respond. He was arrested a short distance away from where the altercation took place. 10/26/2012 – Narcotics – Ofc. WoodingPolice arrested two black males from Philadelphia walking on Baltimore Ave. after a witness called police to report they were smoking marijuana. Police stopped the pair and after a consent search, located marijuana on the males. 10/26/2012 – DUI/Narcotics – Ofc. GalloA white male resident was arrested for DUI and narcotics possession after police stopped him for traffic violations. During the arrest police located a baggie of suspected controlled substance (pills) on his person. 10/30/2012 – Aggravated Assault – Sgt. RichA white female resident of Clifton Heights was arrested for aggravated assault and related charges after police responded to a residence in the 100 block of west Baltimore Ave. The victim reported a domestic dispute that resulted in his girlfriend trying to stab him with a kitchen knife. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result. 10/31/2012 – Theft from Vehicle – Ofc. CaputoA resident of the 100 block of W. Berkley Ave. reported items taken from his vehicle while parked and unattended. The items included a power washer and computer. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft. 11/1/2012 – Theft from Building – Ofc. CaputoA representative of the Clifton Heights Boys Club reported someone broke into the snack bar of the organization and took about $80.00 in coins and cash. 11/02/2012 – Warrant/Hindering Apprehension – Sgt. MartinWhile attempting at apprehend a wanted person in the unit block of S. Sycamore Ave. Police and sheriffs deputies arrested both the wanted person, a white male from Clifton Heights and the home owner also a white male resident of Clifton Heights after the homeowner tried to hide the whereabouts of the subject from the deputies. |
