09/04/2012 – Criminal Mischief – Ofc. Press
Police responded to the Athletic Field for criminal mischief discovered to the building housing football equipment. It appeared that vandals attempted to enter the building and damaged the entry doors.
09/06/2012 – UAD – Ofc. Morgan
Police responded to the 400 block of E. Baltimore Ave for a reported fight out. Upon arrival officers located a number of juveniles in the 500 block. When stopped and ID’d all had an odor of alcohol on their breath and admitted to be drinking. All were taken into custody and the resident who hosted the party they attended also charged.
09/07/2012 – Narcotics – Ofc. Press
As a result of a vehicle stop, Officer Press took into custody a black female resident of Upper Darby for possession of a small amount of marijuana. During the stop officers detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A consent search was granted by the driver, which lead to the finding of the narcotics. The driver was charged with possession and related offenses.
09/07/2012 – Warrant – Ofc. Wooding
After receiving information that a wanted subject was operating a vehicle on Springfield Rd. in Clifton Heights, Ofc. Wooding located and stopped the described vehicle. The operator a while male resident of Aldan was identified and did in fact have a warrant for him in the system. He was arrested and turned over to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department.
09/08/2012 – Public Drunkenness – Sgt. Martin
Upon responding to a report of an intoxicated male in the area of the 200 block of E. Baltimore Ave., police located a white male resident of Clifton Heights matching the description. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol to an extent that rendered him a danger. He was arrested and charged with P/D.
09/09/2012 – Narcotics/DUI – Ofc. Wooding
While on patrol Officer Wooding came upon a vehicle stopped in the roadway in the unit block of Fairview Ave. The operator, a white male resident of Clifton Heights was found to be slumped over the wheel, sleeping with the vehicle running. While investigating this matter police also located a glass pipe and three bags of suspected narcotics in the vehicle. The male was arrested and charged with DUI and narcotics offenses.
09/09/2012 – Assault – Ofc. McCaughan
Officer responded to the unit block of N. Penn St. for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke with the female resident of the house who stated that she was assaulted by the male resident of the house after an argument over property in the residence. She displayed injuries consistent with her report. As a result, a black male resident of Clifton Heights was arrested and charged with assault and related offenses.
09/11/2012 – Disorderly Conduct – Ofc. Wooding
While on patrol Officer Wooding observed a white male urinating in public. The male was stopped and found to also be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with both offenses. While in custody it was learned that the male also had outstanding warrants out of the City of Philadelphia for drug offenses. He was housed and turned over the Philadelphia Police.
09/15/2012 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Wooding
Police responded to the 400 block of N. Springfield Rd. for a reported intoxicated subject. Police found a white male resident of Clifton Heights in the area fitting the description. He was clearly intoxicated and taken into custody. The male was charged with P/D.
09/15/2012 – Narcotics – Ofc. Wooding
After responding to the 400 block of S. Springfield Rd. for a report of loud music, police arrested four white male for narcotics possession after observing the males in an apartment with suspected narcotics and paraphernalia in their possession. All were charged with narcotics possession and related offenses.
09/16/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Morgan
Police responded to the unit block of Arch St. for a reported theft. The caller reported that sometime overnight someone entered a garage and took a snow blower that belonged to a resident who had since moved away. Video surveillance of the area showed a figure walking from Sycamore to the garage than leave with the blower toward Walnut St.
09/16/2012 – Retail Theft – Ofc. Morgan
Police responded to the Kmart Store on E. Baltimore Ave. for a reported shoplifter in custody. Loss Prevention reported observing the juvenile resident of Philadelphia select two air rifles and BB gun and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items. The male was arrested and charged with retail theft.
09/17/2012 – Assault – Ofc. Caputo
Police responded to the 300 block of E. Baltimore Ave for a reported assault and theft. The victim stated she awoke to find her boyfriend going through her purse. An altercation ensued and the boyfriend assaulted her and took money and a prescription belonging to her. A warrant was issued for the actor.
09/18/2012 – Theft – Ofc. McCaughan
Police responded a local church daycare program for a reported theft. The caller reported a laptop missing from one of the classrooms. The theft was noticed about a week after the computer was last used.
09/19/2012 – Theft – Ofc, Morgan
Police responded to the unit block of N. Church St. for a reported theft from vehicle. The victim stated that she dropped her child off to daycare and left her pocketbook in her vehicle unsecured. When she came back out the pocketbook was missing. Police located the pocketbook about a block away minus the cash.
09/22/2012 – Retail Theft – Ofc. McCaughan
A black female resident was arrested and charged with retail theft after setting off store alarms at the Rite Aid Pharmacy. When store employees stopped her she was in possession of an electric trimmer set and packaged cell phone belonging to the store. When the employee stated they were calling police, the female fled. She was found hiding in the rear of a building in the 300 block of E. Baltimore Ave. She was arrested and charged with retail theft.
09/23/2012 – Hit and Run/DUI – Sgt. Martin
Police responded to the 100 block of E. Baltimore Ave. for a reported hit and run. A description and tag was broadcasted on police radio and the vehicle was located driving in Lansdowne minutes after the report. The operator, a white male resident of Lansdowne was taken into custody and did display signs of intoxication. He submitted to chemical testing of his blood and was charged with DUI, hit and run and related offenses.
