Police Activity week of 05/28/2012 through 06/03/2012

05/28/2012 – UAD – Ofc. Morgan

Police charged twenty defendants under twenty one years old with underage drinking and disorderly conduct after responding to a noise complaint in the 500 block of Davis Ave. Upon their arrival police located a large house party. The property owner was not present.

05/28/2012 – Assault – Ofc. McCaughan

Officers were met by a male and female who had stated that they had been assaulted in the unit block of Maple Ave. They both displayed injuries consistent with their accounts and described two white males and a white female as their attackers. Police subsequently attained arrest warrants for the actors which the victim knew and they were arrested the following day.

05/29/2012 – Criminal Mischief – Ofc. Press

Police arrested a white male from the 200 block of Woodbridge Rd. for criminal mischief after his girlfriend reported he smashed out the window of her vehicle. The victim indicated that the two had a verbal argument and upon her boyfriend, the defendant leaving the residence he damaged her vehicle. The defendant was located a couple blocks away and taken into custody without incident.

06/01/2012 – Retail Theft – Sgt. Rich

Kmart Loss Prevention reported an unknown black male fled the store with a Samsung Hiome Theater system valued at $250.00. He was described in his early 40’s wearing a yellow shirt and shorts. He was also suspected in prior thefts from the store.

06/02/2012 – Corruption of Minors / UAD – Ofc. Press

A twenty one year old white male from Drexel Hill and five others under twenty one years old were charges with liquor violations after officers on patrol observed them acting suspiciously in 200 block of W. Baltimore Ave. After stopping the vehicle le they were occupying the adult defendant approached and attempted to provide the other with alcoholic beverages he was observed purchasing at a local store. –

06/03/2012 – Assault – Sgt. Martin

A white male resident of Clifton Heights was arrested after his girlfriend reported that he had assaulted her. She did display injuries consistent with her account. The defendant was charged with assault and related offenses.

06/04/2012 – Criminal Mischief/ Narcotics – Ofc. Press

Police responded to the unit block of Rockbourne Rd. for juveniles throwing rocks at a building. Upon their arrival police located two juvenile males on the SEPTA trolley tracks with rocks in their hands. Alther they denied the incident police did take them into custody and located drug paraphernalia on their person. They were charged and released to their parents.
