05/08/2012 – Burglary – Ofc. Clancy
An apartment resident in the unit block of S. Springfield Rd. reported someone forced entry into his apartment during the daytime and took an X-Box from his residence. Residents of the complex who were home during the time frame of the burglary did not witness anything suspicious.
05/08/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Caputo
A resident of the unit block of Walnut St. reported that sometime overnight someone entered a shed located in the rear of her yard and stole a weed whacker described as a Homelite. The value was around $165.00.
05/09/2012 – Assault – Sgt. Brown
Charges were lodged against a white male resident of Clifton Heights after police responded to an assault call involving a ten year old victim. The victim displayed red makes consistent with his account as well as an independent witness confirming his account. The defendant was jailed after failing to post bail.
05/09/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Cook
A restaurant owner in the 400 block of S. Springfield Rd. reported the theft of copper from a roof top air-conditioning unit and down spouts taken from the building.
05/13/2012 – Retail Theft – Sgt. Chappelle
A black male resident from Chester City was arrested after taking $155.00 in merchandise from K Mart and failed to pay for it. He broke away from security and fled on foot. He was located a couple of blocks away and taken into custody without incident.
05/13/2012 – Theft – Ofc. Wooding
A resident of the 200 block of N. Sycamore Ave. reported an I Phone and GPS taken from his vehicle sometime overnight. The vehicle was unlocked at the time.
05/15/2012 – Assault – Sgt. Martin
After responding to a domestic fight report in the 200 block of N. Sycamore Ave. Police arrested a 41 year old male on middle eastern decent for assault and related charges. His girlfriend reported she was assaulted and did display injuries consistent with her statement. Neighbors reported it was an ongoing issue.
05/18/2012 – Contempt of Court – Ofc. Press
Ridley Police took into custody a white male who was a former resident of Clifton Heights. After his estranged wife filed a Protection from Abuse Order on the male he was reportedly near the family residence in the 400 block of Davis Ave. He also called and texted the victim on several occasions. These actions were barred as part of the PFA.
05/19/2012 – Retail Theft – Sgt. Rich
A clerk at the Seven Eleven Store in the 500 Block of E. Baltimore Ave reported a white male in his 30’s took three packs of hot dogs valued at $15.00 and fled the store without paying for them. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the male.
05/19/2012 – Warrant Arrest – Sgt martin
After receiving a tip of a wanted male in the area of Austin Dr. police located a black male fitting the description in the area. After initially lying about his identity, the male admitted his true name knowing that there was a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to GHCF.
