12/12/2011 – Resisting Arrest – Ofc. McCaughan
Officer McCaughan conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on a white male from Upper Darby. During the course of this stop he learned that the male was wanted for bench warrants. In the course of taking this male into custody he attempted to flee and was subdued. He was charged with resisting arrest and traffic violations as well as the warrant he was wanted for.
12/12/2011 – Criminal Mischief to Auto Ofc, McCaughan
A resident of the 100 block of E. Washington Ave. reported that sometime overnight the side view mirror and fender of her vehicle was damaged.
12/12/2011 – Disorderly Conduct – Sgt. Rich
As a result of a complaint by a business owner, a white male who resides in Clifton Heights was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. The owner stated that groups congregate in the rear lot of the business causing damage and disturbance to the business.
12/12/2011 – Public Drunkenness – Ofc. Press
A white male from Lansdowne was taken into custody for public drunkenness after being found lying on the ground in the 200 block of Baltimore Ave. The male did have a head injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
12/13/2011 – Domestic Assault – Ofc. Press
A white male who resides in the 300 block of S. Church St. in Clifton Heights was taken into custody for domestic assault. His wife described being assaulted in the residence and then being locked out when she went outside. The victim displayed injuries she stated were as a result of the assault.
12/13/2011 – Theft – Ofc. McCaughan
A former employee of a restaurant on Springfield Rd. reported a theft of his prescription medication after he left it on a counter. He stated he stopped in to see friends and left the bottles unattended. When he returned, they were gone.
12/15/2011 – Burglary – Sgt. Chappelle
A resident of the unit block of Rockourne Rd. reported a burglary at his residence where prescription medication and personal items were taken. He reported hearing somebody in his residence at about 1:00 pm and believed it was his wife. When he called for her he heard the front door slam but did not see anyone leave. After further investigating, the resident found the items missing.
12/15/2011 – Theft – Sgt. Chappelle
A resident of W. Madison Ave. reported several electronics missing from their residence. They suspected a family member of removing the items. There was no forces entry.
12/19/2011 – Theft from Motor Vehicle Ofc. Caputo
A resident from Folsom reported leaving his vehicle unlocked overnight and finding someone entered it. He reported a gym bag containing a cell phone and GPS devise removed.
12/22/2011 – Burglary – Ofc. McCaughan
A resident in the unit block oh Rockbourne Rd. reported hearing someone trying to enter is residence through a locked window. He observed four individuals running away when he went to investigate. Officer detained four juvenile found in the area of the residence who were subsequently identified by the victim. One of the juveniles was found in possession of narcotics. All were charged with burglary and related offenses.
12/22/2011 – Theft from Building – Ofc. Gallo
A resident working on a damaged property reported unknown persons gained entry and took copper pipe from the basement. No witnesses were located
12/24/2011 – Domestic Assault – Ofc. Caputo
A resident reported being assaulted by his mother’s boyfriend during a verbal argument. This incident occurred in the 200 block of N. Oak Ave. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the assault. A white male that also resides at the residence was taken into custody for the assault as a result of the complaint.
12/27/2011 – Theft from Building – Ofc. Press
A visitor to a residence in the 300 block of E. Baltimore reported his suitcase missing from the residence. He stated that it contained a large sum of money as well as various electronics. Several family members and close friends had access to the residence. Police are investigating.
12/28/2011 – Narcotics – Ofc. McCaughan
After viewing a suspicious transaction between a juvenile and a male operating a vehicle, Ofc. McCaughan stopped the juvenile as he left the area. The suspect was found in possession of marijuana.
12/30/2011 – Criminal Mischief – Ofc. Press
Several residents in the fourth ward reported damage to their property or vehicles overnight. This included slashed tires and other damage to vehicles and damage to Christmas decorations. Any witnesses are requested to contact the police.
12/30/2011 – Retail Theft – Ofc. Czaplicki
Kmart Loss Prevention reported observing a white female from Erie PA. taking numerous items of clothing and layering them over her own. She attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. After police arrested her, the actor gave false information and was found in possession of narcotics. She was charged with the theft as well as narcotics violations and false identification.
12/31/2011 – Theft – Ofc. McCaughan
The manager of the Clifton Heights IHOP reported a walk out of a food bill. Police identified a black male resident of Philadelphia as the actor and charged him accordingly.
01/01/2012 – DUI – Ofc. Gallo
After observing a domestic argument in a vehicle between a black female and male from Philadelphia, officer Gallo investigated the incident to fine the male was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly. The female was also charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
