8/22/2011 – Officer Matt Antonucci
Disorderly Conduct Charges
Clifton Heights police responded to the unit block of N. Penn Street for a reported neighbor problem. Investigation learned that after a domestic incident, a female resident of N. Penn Street, picked up a rock and strike a parked vehicle on the street belonging to another neighbor. This incident was witnessed by two residents. Citations are being mailed to a 42 year old female resident of N. Penn Street.

Retail Theft Arrest
On 8-23-2011 at 7:35PM, Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the K-Mart where Loss Prevention Officers had a male in custody for the theft of merchandise totaling $75.48. Investigation determined a prior conviction thus the defendant, a 23 year old male resident of Seven Oaks Drive, was arrested on Misdemeanor Retail Theft and related charges.

Employees of the Rite Aid had a female in custody for concealing numerous items of merchandise. Investigation determined the retail price in excess of $220 dollars. The 27 year old female resident of glenolden provided police with false identification and was subsequently charges with Misdemeanor Retail Theft and False Reports to Police charges.

Public Drunkenness arrest
As a result of a suspicious person call, Officer Mike Cook responded to the 300 block of N. Oak Avenue where the resident reported an intoxicated person sitting on his back porch. Police arrested a 31 year old male resident of S. Penn Street in Clifton Heights on Public Drunk Charges.

Clifton Heights Police are investigating a reported burglary and theft that occurred on the unit block of Harrison Ave. Taken during the burglary was a lap top computer and jewelry missing. Entry was made through an unlocked rear window.

Clifton Heights Police investigated a second burglary that occurred on the unit block of Harrison Ave. Entrace was gained via force through a rear door. Taken during the burglary was numerous assorted jewelry items. Anyone having information is requested to contact Sergeant Steve Brown.

Bomb Threat Arrest
After receiving a call for a bomb threat to the Columbus Club, responding officers developed a suspect still on scene. Investigation located a suspect who was asked to leave the club by club staff prior to the call. A check with the 911 center learned the suspect had a phone on his person which was used to call in the bomb threat. An attempt to take the male suspect unto custody resulted in the defendant resisting arrest and being forced into custody. Charges of Resisting Arrest and Bomb Threats have been filed aginst the 52 year old male resident of Clifton Heights.
08/28/2011 – Sgt. Tim Rockenbach
Clifton Heights Police responded to the 100 block of E. Broadway Ave for a “nature unknown” involving a possible Homicide. Arriving officers located a 51 year old male resident face down on the floor who was pronounced deceased by assiting medical personnel. Also on arrival was an male who admitted that he killed the male during a fight.
A joint investigation by Clifton Heights Police and Criminal Investigation Division of the District Attorney’s Office resulted in the arrest of this 35 year old male resident of Clifton Heights on Murder and related charges. The defendant was arraigned and subsequently transported to Delaware County Prison. This joint investigation continues pending a preliminary hearing.
