08/13/2011 – Sgt. John Martin

Burglary Investigation
On 8-13-2011 at 10:45AM, Clifton Heights Police responded to a reported forced entry Burglary that occurred on the unit block of Windsor Lane adjacent to the Septa Trolley tracks. Occupants of the home reported hearing the front door slam shut and on investigation found the rear window open and a wallet missing. Also discovered missing was cash from an envelope left on a living room end table.

As the investigation continues, police ask that any residents who may have seen anyone in the vicinity on Saturday morning to contact Sgt. John Martin.


08/14/2011 – Officer John Martin

Theft Investigation
A resident of the 200 block of E. Broadway Ave reported several sections of copper downspouts stolen. Actors left behind sheet metal downspouts.

During a check of the neighborhood, officers located another home on the block also missing several long sections of copper downspouts.

Numerous departments in Delaware County have experiences the theft of copper from homes, business and PECO yards.

Police request that any persons with information or seeing persons of interest to call Sgt. John Martin.

Curfew Violations
On patrol, police located three juveniles on the Clifton Ball Field at 10:30PM. Two juvenile residents of Clifton Heights and one Upper Darby juvenile were identified and released pending warning letters for first time offenders.


08/14/2011 -Officer Robert McCaughan

Police Information
A home care worker visiting on a patient on the 100 block of S. Springfield Road reported having an unknown juvenile fire a paint ball gun at him. The victim was not struck but wanted the report on file.

Police are asking any persons having knowledge about this or similar incidents to contact6 Officer Robert McCaughan.
