07/12/2011 – Officer James Press

Theft Arrest
On July 12, 2011, Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the K-Mart for Retail Theft Information. As a result of investigation and witness accounts, a suspect was developed and a search warrant issued and served on a home in lansdowne Borough. As a result of the warrant, merchandise from at least two thefts was confiscated. As a result, a 54 year old male resident of Lansdowne was arrested and charged with Theft and related charges.

07/16/2011 – Officer Robert McCaughan

Warrant Arrest – Robbery
On July 16, 2011, Offiecr Robert McCaughan observed a subject wanted on Robbery Charges on the unit block of E. Madison Ave. This person fled into 36 E. Madison Avenue with Officer McCaughan in pursuit. A female occupant stating the subject never entered. A search located the 25 year old male resident of Philadelphia located in the bedroom where the female exited. The male was taken into custody and charges are pending for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution against the 23 year old female resident of Clifton Heights.

07/16/2011 – Officer Robert McCughan

DUI Arrest
While on another motor vehicle stop, Officer McCaughan observed a second vehicle in which the operator appeared lethargic and confused. Investigation learned this female driver had taken mediactions and admitted she should not be driving. Based on the operator’s failure to complete field sobriety tests, the defendant submitted to blood tests for alcohol and a warrant of arrest issued on DUI and related charges.

07/17/2011 – Officer Robert McCaughan

Drug Parphernalia Arrest
On patrol, Officer Robert McCaughan observed a suspect appearing to be smoking a pipe. Investigation determined possession of a recently smoked pipe containing residue. Arrested and cited was a 27 year old male resident of the Penn Pines section of Upper Darby.

07/17/2011 – Officer James Press

Warrant Arrest
While conducting a vehicel stop for Unregistered Vehicle and Expired Inspection, Officer James Press learned the operator was was wanted on a active warrant out of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Arrest was a 45 year old male resident of Philadelphia who was housed and taken into cutody by Montco Sheriffs.
