05/17/2011 – Officer Robert McCaughan

Retail Theft Arrest
Clifton Height’s police responded to the Clifton Heights K-Mart for a reported Retail Theft. On arrival police learned that a black and black female were involved in the purchase of an item, by cash, afterwards which the female left the store and pulled up out front in a small compact car.

The male pulled out a bag and a hammer from his pants and proceeded to smash a jewelry cabinet and fled the scene after placing jewelry inside the bag.

Evidence has been recovered and is being processed for investigation.

05/19/2011 – Sergeant John Chappelle

Retail Theft Arrest
On 5/19/2011, CHPD officers were dispatched to the Clifton Heights K-Mart for two Retail Theft suspects in custody. Arriving Officers learned the value of merchandise was over $300.

Arrested was a 27 year-old female resident of Philadelphia and another 27 year-old female homeless female formerly of Philadelphia. Both were charges via Criminal Complaint and were arraigned by District Court.

05/120/2011 – Officer John Clancy

Drug Possession
A 39 year-old male resident of Collingdale was charged after being observed by Officer Clancy smoking what was determined to be a Marijuana joint on E. Broadway Avenue.

05/21/2011 – Officer Matt Antonucci

Criminal Mischief Arrest
Investigating a report of vandalism on the unit block of N. Sycamore Ave., Officers learned that as a result of an argument between two neighbors, a relative of one of the involved parties was observed causing criminal mischief to the other neighbor’s car. Charged with throwing paint and gouging the car with scratches in addition to verbal threats was a 24 year-old female resident of Philadelphia.

05/21/2011 – Officer Matt Antonucci

DUI arrest
On May 21, 2011 at 6:09pm, police were dispatched to Oak Ave and Springfield Rd for a reported accident with injuries. As a result of observations and investigation, a 24 year-old male resident of Havertown was charged with DUI, numerous traffic violations and possession of controlled substances and Narcotics. A search of the vicinity, by police, resulted in the confiscation of several pill bottles containing Prescription Pills after a witness observed this operator exit his car and throw the items.
