Police Activity week of 1-31-2011 through 02-06-2011

02/02/2011 – Sgt. Martin / Ofc. Press

Officers were dispatched to the area of Seven Oaks Dr. and Crestwood Rd. for a report of two males fighting. Upon their arrival they found a resident of Crestwood Rd. and an acquaintance still engaged in a physical altercation in the street causing a disturbance to local residents. The two were separated and the acquaintance was taken into custody for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, the resident was cited for disorderly conduct by mail.

02/05/2011 – Sgt. Chappelle / Ofc. Clancy

Officers were dispatched to the unit block of Wilton Ave. for a reported residential burglary. Upon their arrival the homeowner reported that between 06:15 and 12:30 forced entry was made to their residence through a door. Once inside the actor(s) disregarded valuable electronics but did take several pieced of jewelry located in bedrooms throughout the residence.
Clifton Heights Police request any witnesses to come forward and call police at 610-623-3242.

02/05/2011 – Ofc. Caputo / Ofc. Antonucci

Investigating an accident on the 100 block of W. Washington Ave
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Broadway Ave. for a reported burglary in progress. Upon their arrival a witness stated that he saw an unknown male in the residence through a window, knowing that the residents were not at home he called 911. Police discovered the rear door of the residence unlocked and upon checked the residence, located nobody. Several drawers were ransacked although items of value including jewelry and electronics were left behind. The witness described the actor as a light skinned black male between 20 and 30 years old with a goatee. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and knit cap.
Upon the residents arrival home, the only thing noted missing was a broken cell phone. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident are asked to contact police at 610-623-3242.
