10/16/2010 – Officer Robert McCaughan

Retail Theft Arrest
On Friday, October 22, 2010 Clifton Height’s police were dispatched to the Clifton Heights K-Mart were Loss Prevention Officers had a suspect in custody for hiding merchandise under his clothing and attempt to leave the store without paying.
Investigation by Officer McCaughan determined this 58 year old male resident of Chester City had provided a false identity to both the K-Mart and Clifton Heights Police and two prior arrests for Retail Theft. Further investigation learned of two outstanding Bench Warrants for the defendant’s arrest. Retail Theft and related charges have been filed.


10/17/2010 -Sergeant Francis Rich / Officer Robert McCaughan

Retail Theft Arrest
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Baltimore Ave on Saturday, October 17, 2010 for a reported Retail Theft that just occurred with a description of the female offender. Officer McCaughan observed a female matching the description provided and on questioning, she implicated herself in the theft. A positive identification on the suspect and identification of property was made by the retail establishment. This 33 year old female resident of Folsom was arrested on Retail Theft charges.


10/23/2010 – Off. Robert McCaughan

Warrant arrest – Assault charges
On Saturday, October 23, 2010 Officer Robert McCaughan observed a female resident of Clifton Heights wanted on a warrant from Clifton Heights on a Domestic Assault incident. Arrested was an 18 year old female resident of Clifton Heights. She was processed and transported to Upper Darby Regional Court for an immediate arraignment.


10/23/2010 – Sgt. John Martin

Summary Hit & Run and Driving While Suspended Charges
On Saturday, October 23, 2010, Sgt. John Martin responded to a reported domestic argument between a female and male. On arrival, Sgt. Martin learned the argument started over the suspected use and influence of drugs by the male who on attempting to leave their resident struck a parked car before fleeing the borough for Chester to buy more drugs. Based on his investigation, Sgt. Martin charged a 36 year old resident of Clifton Heights on summary Hit and Run and Driving While under Suspension charges.


10/24/2010 – Off. James Press

Driving under the Influence Arrest
On Saturday, October 23, 2010 Officer James Press observed a vehicle operating without headlights. A traffic stop suspected the driver of Driving under the Influence. The 25 year old female resident of Secane was administered field sobriety tests, failed and was subsequently charges with Driving under the influence.
