10/06/2010 – Officer Christian Caputo/Sergeant Steve Brown

Armed Robbery
On Wednesday, October 6, 2010 Clifton Height’s police received a report of an Armed Robbery that just occurred at a business in the 200 block of E. Baltimore Avenue. Investigation learned that a white male about 5’10” entered the business brandishing a black colored handgun and left with over $200 in cash. The actor was last seen wearing light colored jeans, grey sweatshirt with Penn State logo, gloves and sunglasses with the sweat shirt hood over his head. Anyone with information or who may have seen a person matching this description is asked to contact Sgt. Tim Rockenbach at 610-623-3242.


10/06/2010 –Officer Robert McCaughan

Under Aged Drinking Arrests
After being dispatched to the 400 block of E. Baltimore Avenue for several suspicious juveniles, Officer Robert McCaughan located several juveniles hiding under a deck. Investigation resulted in the arrest and citing for Disorderly Conduct and Under Aged Drinking of a 20 year old resident of Clifton Heights and an 18 year old resident of Upper Darby.


10/07/2010 – Sgt. Jack Chappelle

Motor Vehicle Theft Arrest
On Thursday, October 7, 2010 Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the unit block of N. Glenwood Avenue for a report vehicle theft that just occurred. The stolen vehicle information was immediately broadcast to neighboring police jurisdictions were Office Larry Albertoli of Lansdowne Police Department observed a matching vehicle on Baltimore Avenue.
Investigation determined this as the same stolen vehicle which had a broken steering column. Two defendants were arrested. Facing charges of Motor Vehicle Theft and related charges are a 22 year old male resident of Upper Darby and a 18 year old male resident of Darby Borough.


10/07/2010 – Officer Chris Kammerer/Sgt. Jack Chappelle

Simple Assault / Reckless Endangerment Investigation
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the intersection of Springfield Road and E. Berkley Avenue where two 20+ year old females reported being shot at with a paintball from a passing vehicle. The involved suspect vehicle is described as a champagne colored sedan occupied by three white teen aged males. Investigation learned that Upper Darby Township had a similar incident earlier the same day.


10/09/2010 – Off. Robert McCaughan

Simple Assault Arrest
At 8:45PM, Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the Clifton Heights Ball field for a reported fight in progress involving adults. During the investigation, Clifton Heights Police received reports from three adult victims who reported a female sitting in the stands got into a verbal discussion with another female and struck the second female as she attempted to leave. After striking the first female, the defendant then assaulted a male and second female who were attempting to intervene. As a result of his investigation, Officer McCaughan has filed charges against a 24 year old female resident of Lansdowne Borough on Assault and related charges.


10/09/2010 – Sgt. Francis Rich

Driving under the Influence/Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunk Arrests
As a result of observing and investigating several suspicious persons, Sgt, Francis Rich stopped and detained three persons who attempted to leave a business establishment on 100 block of E. Baltimore Avenue. His investigation learned that these three actors attempted to leave to leave without paying for services rendered. Arrested and cited for Public Drunkenness and underage drinking was a 20 year old resident of Clifton Heights. Arrested for Underage Drinking and Disorderly Conduct was an 18 year old resident of Drexel Hill. Arrested for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Public Drunkenness and Underage Drinking was a 19 year old resident of Drexel Hill.

Juvenile Arrests – Theft Charges
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Springfield Road for suspicious persons after a resident heard a loud noise. On looking out his window, the resident observed three persons slamming a parking meter into a building wall in an apparent attempt and getting money inside. One involved juvenile was apprehended. Investigation resulted in the two additional names. Facing juvenile Theft Charges are a 14 year old juvenile resident of Secane, a 13 year old resident of Clifton Heights, and a third juvenile.
