Police activity week of 7-12 through 7-18

7/13/2010 – Officer James Press

Disorderly Conduct Arrest
On Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 Clifton Heights Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Baltimore Avenue for a reported subject with a hand gun. Officer James Press, Officer Maria McKnight and assisting agencies set up a perimeter awaiting assistance of Emergency Response personnel. During the securing of the perimeter a suspect matching the described involved suspect was encountered, subsequently detained and after securing a search warrant, a starter pistol was located in the residence of the defendant. Investigation determined the starter pistol was shown and fired by the defendant during a domestic related incident. The defendant, an 18 year old resident of Clifton Heights, is awaiting a hearing on related charges filed by Sergeant Tim Rockenbach.


7/14/2010 – Officer Chris Kammerer

Unsworn Falsification and False Identification to Law Enforcement Authorities
On June 22, 2010 Officer Christopher Kammerer issued several citations to a female vehicle operator for various motor vehicle violations including expired inspections and related offences.

On July 14, 2010 a complaint was received by Clifton Heights Police that the citations issued by mail were in fact issued to the wrong person as a result of false information provided to Clifton Heights Police. Further investigation determined that a 28 year old female resident of Upper Darby, in fact, falsified the name and date of birth of a friend of hers to avoid a citation for Driving While under Suspension.

A Criminal Complaint has been filed for Unsworn Falsification to Law Enforcement, False Identification to Law Enforcement, along with numerous Motor Vehicle Violations.


7/16/2010 – Officer James Press

Disorderly Conduct Arrest
As a result of police response to the 300 block of E. Baltimore Avenue for a reported disorderly person involved in a domestic argument, Officer James Press and John Clancy arrived to find an 18 year old resident of Clifton Heights, acting in a loud and disorderly manner. After repeated attempts to have this subject to cease and desist, the defendant was arrested and returned to police headquarters where he was issued a citation for summary Disorderly Conduct.


7/17/2010 – Officer Robert McCaughan / Officer Thomas Gallo

Liquor Law Arrests
On July 17, 2010 Officer Robert McCaughan observed two known residents of Clifton Heights walking together on the 300 Block of W. Baltimore Ave. One of the residents is known to be over 21 years of age and the second under 21 years of age. These persons stopped at a known liquor sales establishment where the older suspect entered and shortly thereafter, exited with a black plastic bag and handed it to the suspect under 21 years of age. Both suspects separated and an attempt to stop the underage suspect resulted in a several block foot pursuit of this defendant by Officer Gallo.

Arrested for Underage Possession, Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing was a 16 year old juvenile resident of Clifton Heights and arrested for Purchasing and supplying the underage defendant with alcoholic beverages was a 23 year old male resident of Clifton Heights.
