8/25/2010 – Officer Robert McCaughan

Act 64 – Drug Possession Arrest
On Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 Clifton Heights Police Officer Robert McCaughan observed a vehicle displaying a suspended and revoked registration plate. During the course of investigation a glass pipe with a brillo filter, commonly used for the purposes of ingesting illegal drugs, was observed in plain sight on the doors arm rest. Further investigation learned the 34 year old resident of Collingdale Borough was suspended and had in his possession two small baggies containing white powder residue that field tested positive for cocaine. Charges of drug possession and paraphernalia have been filed.


8/26/2010 – Officer John Clancy

Disorderly Conduct Arrest
Clifton Height’s police were dispatched to a business on the unit block of W. Baltimore Avenue for a reported Burglary Interrupted. On arrival responding officers learned a male was located inside a business for the second time in three months. A description was broadcast to assisting officers. A person matching the defendant was observed walking nearby and was taken into custody by Officer John Clancy.

After a positive identification was made by a witness a 65 year old former resident of Upper Darby was cited for Disorderly Conduct and released.


8/28/2010 -Officer Kevin Schieler

Harassment Arrest
Clifton Heights received several complaints of harassment involving a recent break-up. An investigation conducted by Officer Schieler learned the male half of the couple had called, texted, and went to the work location of the victim causing alarm and embarrassment to the victim and co-workers.

As a result of his investigation, Officer Schieler has cited a 26 year old resident of Lansdowne Borough for summary harassment charges.


8/28/2010 -Officer Kevin Schieler

Public Drunkenness Arrest
At approximately 6:40PM on August 28, 2010 Officer Kevin Schieler, while on routine patrol, observed what appeared to be an underage pedestrian stumbling on W. Baltimore Ave to a degree that rendered him a danger to himself. Investigation determined the 15 year old male resident of Upper Darby could not walk safely and could not be understood while talking as a result of admitted alcohol consumption.

A citation for Public Drunkenness was issued and the defendant released to a parent.


8/28/2010 -Officer James Press

Driving Under the Influence Arrest
On Saturday, August 28, 2010 Officer James Press observed a vehicle travelling south on N. Oak Avenue and fail to stop for three posted stops signs and almost strike several parked vehicles. After stopping this vehicle and during his investigation, Officer James Press suspected the driver to be under the extreme effects of alcohol.

Observations and Field Sobriety Tests resulted in the withdraw of blood and the arrest of a 30 year old resident of Clifton Heights on Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and related Vehicle Code violations.
