Police activity week of 6-6 through 6-13

6/6/2010 – Officer James Press/Officer Chris Kammerer

Disorderly Conduct Arrests / Public Drunkenness Arrests
On Sunday, June 6, 2010 Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the intersection of Austin Drive and W. WynCliffe Ave for a reported accident with property damage and possible fight beginning. Arriving and assisting officers located 4 defendants fleeing or hiding in the vicinity. Arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness was a 42 year old male resident of Media, a 37 year old female resident of Secane, a 39 year old female resident of Havertown and a 29 year old male resident of Drexel Hill.


6/6/2010 – Sergeant Francis Rich

Domestic Assault Arrest
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Springfield Rd. for a reported Domestic Assault that had occurred over a two hour period. As a result of statements and physical evidence an arrest warrant was completed by Sergeant Francis Rich against a 36 year old male resident of Philadelphia for Assault and related charges.


6/9/2010 – Officer James Press

Juvenile Arrests – Assault – hands, fists, feet
On 6/6/2010, police were dispatched to the intersection of Baltimore and Penn for a reported assault that occurred. As a result of Officer James Press’s investigation, it was determined that a 17 year old male victim of Secane was assaulted and robbed by a 16 year old juvenile resident of Clifton Heights, a 15 year old male resident of Clifton Heights and another 15 year old male resident of Clifton Heights. All three juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting Assault and Robbery charges.


6/12/2010 – Officer Matt Antonucci, Officer Chris Kammerer and Officer Christian Caputo

Drug Possession Arrest
While on patrol, Officer Matt Antonucci observed a suspicious occupied vehicle on a private business parking lot near Baltimore Avenue and Diamond Street. Officer Antonucci investigated the car and requested the owner to answer questions during which the driver, a 22 year old, male resident of Philadelphia gave police permission to search his car and person. During the course of the search a small amount of suspected Marijuana and Narcotic Paraphernalia were discovered on his person. Charges have been filed against the driver.


6/13/2010 – Officer Thomas Gallo

Aggravated Assault Arrest
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to investigate a stabbing that occurred on N. Oak Avenue in Clifton Heights. On arrival police observed a 41 year old female victim bleeding from underneath her eye. Statements and investigation learned that as a result of mother/son domestic argument and attempted reprimand, her 18 year old son pulled a Phillips screw driver and stabbed his mother in the face – under her eye. The defendant was taken into custody without incident and transported to Delaware County Prison after failing to make bail.
