7/21/2010 – Sgt. Stephen Brown/Sergeant Tim Rockenbach
Criminal Trespass and Attempted Burglary Arrest
On Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the 400 block of S. Springfield Rd. for a reported attempted Burglary with the involved suspect last seen running towards Chester Ave. On arrival Sgt. Stephen Brown observed evidence of an attempted burglary and broadcast a description of the involved suspect provided by two witnesses. A search by assisting officers located a male hiding behind a building nearby. Sgt. Timothy Rockenbach took into custody a 29 year old male resident of Yeadon Borough who was positively identified by two witnesses. This defendant was charged with Criminal Attempt Burglary, Criminal Trespass and related charges.

Disorderly Conduct Arrest
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the intersection of Baltimore and Penn street for a reported domestic fight between sisters on Friday, July 23, 2010. On arrival of officers, a 21 year old female resident of Penn Street in Clifton Heights was advised of her arrest. During an attempt to place the defendant into custody a minor struggle ensured and a Clifton Heights Police officer sustained injuries to the neck and back. The defendant was released after issuance of a citation for disorderly conduct.
7/25/2010 – Officer William Czaplicki
Retail Theft Arrest
As a result of police response to the Clifton Heights K-Mart, Officer William Czaplicki learned that a 19 year old resident of Clifton Heights was observed, by K-Mart Security, attempting to leave the K-Mart without paying for merchandise totaling $21.99. This subject was taken into custody by K-Mart security and turned over to Clifton Heights Police for processing and issuance of a Summary Retail Theft citation, then released.
7/27/2010 – Officer Robert McCaughan / Sgt. Tim Rockenbach
House Burglary Investigation
Clifton Heights Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Walnut Street for a reported founded Burglary. On arrival Officer Robert McCaughan observed evidence of a founded Burglary with items including jewelry and two T.V’s missing from the residence.
During his investigation, Sgt. Rockenbach located a neighbor who, in fact, witnessed a suspect and suspect car but neither appeared suspicious at the time. The crime scene was processed and the investigation continues. The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet tall in his thirties, wearing a dark tee shirt and long dark pants. He was also operating a black colored car that was parked in front of the residence.
7/29/2010 – Officer John Clancy / Officer Robert McCaughan
Robbery Warrant Arrest
During routine traffic enforcement patrol, Officer John Clancy observed a car displaying a truck plate. A check of this registration learned the plate was stolen out of Philadelphia. This vehicle was stopped and investigation learned the operator, a 21 year old resident of Darby Borough was wanted out of Philadelphia on Robbery charges. The defendant was issued traffic citations and arrested on the Philadelphia Warrant. The defendant was transported to Philadelphia for processing.
7/29/2010 – Officer Robert McCaughan
During routine patrol, Officer Robert McCaughan observed two suspicious juveniles on the Septa Trolley Tracks in the vicinity of numerous complaints of recent vandalism. Officer McCaughan followed and watched both juveniles where they met a third unknown individual and a hand to hand exchange was observed. After the transaction, both juveniles were stopped and a small bag of Marijuana confiscated. One juvenile aged 16 and a resident of Clifton Heights, was released to his parents pending charges.

Public Drunkenness Arrest
As a result of a suspicious persons call, Clifton Heights Police responded to the unit block of Eyre Ave where they observed a 24 year old male resident of Clifton Heights lying partially in the street and intoxicated to a degree that endangered him and others. The defendant was housed overnight and issued a summary citation for Public Drunkenness.
