Police Activity weeks of 05/01/2017 – 05/31/2017
05/02/2017 – Narcotics – Ofc. Berry
While on patrol officers observed a suspiciously occupied vehicle in the Kmart parking lot after hours. Upon approaching the vehicle, the operator and passenger were both nervous and acting evasively. Further investigation revealed both marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The passenger, a w/m resident of Upper Darby claimed ownership of the contraband and was charged accordingly.
05/13/2017 – DUI – Ofc. Ford
Police arrested a w/m resident of Westbrook Park for DUI and related offenses after police observed the operator commit several V/C violations on Broadway Ave. Upon approaching the vehicle the operator displayed symptoms of intoxication and admitted to drinking at a bar prior to operating the vehicle.
05/13/2017 – Narcotics – Ofc. Cummings
While taking a complaint of a family member operating a vehicle without consent, police did arrest a w/f resident of Clifton Heights for an active bench warrant and possession of suspected heroin.
05/14/2017 – Narcotics / PFA violation – Sgt. McCaughan
Police arrested a w/f resident of Clifton Heights for a PFA violation after responding to a residence where a domestic argument was taking place between her and her father. While investigating the incident the female was found in possession of several narcotic pills and suspected heroin. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
05/22/2017 – Narcotics – Ofc. Cummings
While on patrol police arrested a w/m resident of Drexel Hill after a traffic stop yielded narcotics. The operator failed to stop at a stop sign which prompted the vehicle stop. While speaking with the operator, officers detected a strong odor of raw marijuana. The operator turned the contraband over to police.
05/23/2017 – Narcotics – Sgt. McCaughan
Police arrested a w/m resident of Clifton Heights for heroin possession after placing him in custody for a county bench warrant.
05/28/2017 – Retail theft / Narcotics – Sgt. McCaughan
Police arrested 2 b/m and 2 b/f residents of Philadelphia for retail theft and narcotic violations after they fled from Kmart without paying for store merchandise. Their vehicle was stopped on Lansdowne Ave. where the occupants were identified by Kmart employees. One of the females was also in possession of marijuana.
